Julys Glossy Box

So after feeling a little disappointed with last months Glossy Box I was a little apprehensive about this contents of this months.. But, I needn't have been! This months box does not let down. I'll get right into it and let you know all the lovely treats I found inside..

(p.s. sorry the photo quality isn't the best I was keen to get this blog post up!)

So, the first thing my eyes were drawn to was the huge red box taking up almost half of the contents! It's a pomegranate regenerating body oil which smells AMAZING and I've read nothing but positive reviews about it.. The little card that Glossy Box sends says this about the product:

Weleda: Pomegranate regenerating body oil contains only pure plant oils. Rich in essential fatty acids and anti oxidising vitamins, slather on this oil for more elastic, hydrated, smooth and supple skin. Suitable for vegans.

How lovely is that!? I looked up the cost of the product online as I just couldn't believe I'd be sent such a good quality, full size product, but I looked it up and it's £19! Double the cost of what Glossy Box costs to buy to begin win. Perfect, can't wait to have a bath later and just cover myself in this stuff.

Second, which I let out a pretty impressive girly squeal when I saw it was an Illamasqua box! Never been able to justify spending money on Illamasqua because you never know, you could spend the money and hate it, and I just wasn't in the position to do that, so yeah, brownie points to the GB team for this one.

It's a gorgeous pure pigment pot in a beautiful emerald green colour, which is great for me because I have hazel/green eyes and find wearing certain colours quite hard. Really can't wait to try this, it can be used dry as a powder or wet as a liquid liner, and again another full size product worth £15.50! Seriously feeling spoilt this month.. The note sent by the GB team says this about the product:

Illamasqua: Pure pigment, Pure pigment gives a high shine metallic finish of pure colour to eyes and cheeks. Mix with Illamasqua sealing gel to create a water resistant shimmering eye liner. Making professional make up available to all for the first time, Illamasqua is taking the world by storm with their fearless dedication to self expression.

Lovely! I see some ladies received an Illamasqua lipgloss too which is great, something to suit everyone hopefully.

Next up is the stunning nail varnish I got by Ciate in a stunning pale pink colour called 'Beach Melba' Again, another full size product worth £9 here. I don't know if the people at Glossy Box feel like they need to make up for last months box perhaps? Which in my opinion people need to get over a bit.. they're a new company, sometimes it takes a while to get things right, plus, I don't think they expected the rush of new subscribers after the May box.. plus the June box was fine! (bar the dry shampoo anyway) You're not going to love everything you get sent, which is all part of the excitement of receiving this box in the post,  you have no idea what you're going to get.

But whatever, this months box is great and hopefully a sign of the level of products we'll receive from now on. Back to the nail varnish.. Beautiful little bottle which will look lovely on my make up stand! Had it on my nail (yeah just the one nail my hands need some serious love at the minute and I just wanted to swatch it for now) but it hasn't chipped and still looks lovely and shiney. Needs two coats but that's more to do with how pale the colour is than anything else, seen a blog of a girl who got a beautiful red colour and that was easily only needing one coat!

Ciate: Nail Enamel. From the ergononlically designed bottle, the deliberetely long cap for ease of use and the 250 bristle flat brush for long lasting full coverage: Ciate takes exceptional care to make applying their beautiful enamel colours a pleasure. Formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate and toluene free.

( Whoosh! Those last few words took forever for me to spell ) Will defiantly be collecting these bottles, love them.

Not 100% on the Xen Tan, as much as I want to try it, I DON'T want to look like I've had a walk on part on the Only way is Essex or something equally as shit, so the fact it's in 'dark' is a little off putting. I will give it a go though, perhaps on my legs actually they're looking pretty bling at the minute. Not good! It is a good size sample though, I thought all the products we recieved would be sample sizes so the fact I've got more than that is just so lovely. I think this size would do a full body once perhaps? Hmm.. Still though, great to try, always wanted too!

Xen-Tan: Deep bronze luze. winner of best ever beauty buy by Elle magazine, this ultra sheer instant colour formula gives you a gorgeous natural olive glow that'll last up to seven days. Easy to apply, it glides on evenly and streak free.

Also got two perfume samples from Etat Libre but they smashed in the post! Rubbish. The box smelled delicious though so I can kind of assume they were lovely.

An that's that really, the company can defiantly put to bed any of the critics who didn't think last months box was good enough, it's gave me some really exciting new products to try and I already can't wait for next months.

I'm sure this review looks pretty biased, but if you'd have asked me last month I wouldn't have been so positive I just wanted to give the company a chance and I'm so glad I did. Waiting for my VIP Boudoir Privé which should come at the start of August so I'll defiantly review that, getting hooked clearly!

Take care of yourselves and link me to your blogs to let me know what you think of your boxes, mwah!

Oh. and here's a picture of my cat for luck x

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2..

Just got in from seeing it.. I can't believe it's over!!

Snape.. you were a good man! (although the book did your life so much more justice)

I wish so much that magic was real and that I'd have gone to Hogwarts and not the crappy school I actually attended.. no sorting hat there!

A really quick update and an apology!

Well so much for me being incredibly organised and up to date with this blog!
Last you all heard I was just about to start this new job, I was nervous, unsure about what to expect and didn't have a clue what to wear.. well! That was 6 weeks ago now? And I think it's safe to say I've been pretty bloody busy! I don't know where to start with it all!

Most exciting news since starting work is that I've been to Paris (the first time I've ever been and I adore it) Got back on Tuesday. The best way I can describe Paris is that it's a magpie on a ton of caffeine, it's so hectic and beautiful, full of a random collection of stunning buildings and statues, randomly placed museums and churches, I loved it! It was a work trip so I didn't get to do much touristy stuff, but I went to interfelliere which is one of the biggest lingerie and swimwear shows in the world, that was really inspiring and along with inspiration for work I got a ton of information for University too, so win win. I'll put up some of the pictures (I won't add them all there will be too many if I did!) I can't really do the trip justice and I was only there for a few days!

The apartment I stayed in in London before catching the Eurostar at 6am the next morning! 6AM!! :' ( Had to be up at bloody 4:30, so not good.

The best milkshake ever.. strawberry shortcake!

The Eurostar at St Pancras!

I'm not a Mrs.. but oh well nice to pretend!

I lost my macaroon virginity.. mine was the strawberry one.. the best thing I've tasted in a long time! (since the milkshake anyway ; )

Dinner x

Spot of breakfast!

Wish I could say I had time to shop for myself and not for work, so many gorgeous shops

The only photo of myself and it was taken by accident, typical!

My first glimpse of the tower!

and my second

God I hated the metro.. It's just so intimidating!

So yeah that was like 3 days of the last 6 weeks, I've been in London say 2 times a week doing alot of comp.shopping which is fun, looking out for up and coming trends and seeing what's of inspiration or innovative. Spend alot of time in our office too (we have our own!) which I've covered in my boards, defiantly making myself at home. Work with some of the best people I'm so incredibly lucky to be around such passionate, inspiring people.

Sitting in start bucks after a long day on my feet!

My adorable little lunch box!

I'm so sorry this blog is just so all over the place and kind of vague, there's so much to say but it's been so long since it all happened, I don't want to go on! But I promise to stay up to date with it all, got pretty good at juggling life and sleep now, took a while I won't like, the starts are early but it's all good. I love life at the minute, I feel so incredibly lucky (too lucky, I'm still at University I shouldn't be doing this, I should be working at the Co-op like I was last year trying to make ends meet.) I just feel so happy.

I hope everyone is ok though and your lives are all lovely and keeping you smiling.

Will update soon x
